Litigation Attorney – Washington, DC

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with clients, co-counsel, and other stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
• Assist in mentoring junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, Maryland and/or Virginia (Non negotiable)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
