  • Hiring: Full-Time Litigation & Enforcement Asset Recovery Specialist
  • Company: Cawley & Bergmann, LLC
  • Location: Newark, New Jersey

Cawley & Bergmann is a prominent national collections firm that provides stellar debt recovery services for established financial institutions. We're currently experiencing substantial growth, and we're looking for highly goal-driven and career-oriented people to help us continue to deliver incredible results for our high-class, well-known clients. With our innovative and empowering "work hard, play hard" culture, you'll have the opportunity to expand your skills, grow your paychecks, and make a substantial difference for real people!

Litigation & Enforcement Asset Recovery Specialist Responsibilities:

This isn't a typical collections role, as you'll be providing high-level support to the legal team throughout the asset recovery process. You'll be working with attorneys, leadership, and recovery professionals to locate, investigate, and reclaim assets. As directed, you'll conduct thorough asset investigations and skip tracing efforts, including researching real estate ownership, public records, business interests, and debtors, and accurately document your findings.

You'll prepare detailed reports to support litigation efforts and assist with enforcement activities, including liens, garnishments, and bank levies. Communicating with attorneys, courts, and third-party vendors, you'll help develop account-specific recovery strategies and assist with ongoing litigation support and judgment enforcement projects. If you're an experienced legal or collections professional, you could be the perfect fit!

Our Ideal Litigation & Enforcement Asset Recovery Specialist:

Preference will be given to applicants who already have some experience in a position related to collections, litigation support, asset recovery, or judgment enforcement. Experience as a paralegal or working in a law firm/legal department would be beneficial. Experience reviewing court records and public filings is also highly desired. The basic qualifications are:

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and research/investigative abilities
  • Multitasking skills for effectively managing multiple projects at once
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency

You'll use various online platforms and tools throughout your day, such as PACER, TLO, IDI, LexisNexis, tracers, pubic records databases, and data analysis/reporting tools. While experience with these systems would be preferred, we will train you.

Compensation & Perks:

  • $65,000 to $75,000/year, based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • Paid training
  • PTO
  • Sick time
  • 401(k) plan
  • Advancement opportunities within a fast-growing company
  • Positive, collaborative, and energetic work culture
  • Comfortable office environment with modern technology/systems
