Makes sales to solicit loans from new clients and referral partners as well as from existing customers/referral partners
Meets with prospective clients and referral sources
Originate mortgage loans, including offering and negotiating terms of a loan, taking loan applications, and verifying and obtaining information from clients
Presents loan products and pricing to potential clients
Develops and maintains marketing and promotional activities related to origination
Manages pipeline effectively to ensure timely flow

Required Experience:

Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment.
Demonstrated experience with MS Office products.
Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with internal and external partners.

Mortgage Corporation through the NMLS for every state in which they conduct business before representing themselves as a mortgage loan originator.
SAFE Act Compliant and mortgage loan originator license in the state in which loans are being originated
Demonstrated experience in retail loan origination / sales preferred, including: | 2+ years of recent loan origination experience | Consistent source of referral-based business from realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, etc. | Proven loan origination in the last 2 consecutive years
Demonstrated experience using available information to make sound business decisions
Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, managing a loan pipeline (preferred), and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices.
Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage-related terms, such as escrow, taxes, closing documents and insurance.
Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending processes, procedures and regulations.
Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal real estate lending regulations.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of building quality client relationships

Minimum Education Preferred:

High School or GED

Loan Originators must have an active mortgage loan originator license sponsored by Fairway Independent

Physical Environment:

This position is primarily a remote/outside sales/traveling position. Access to reliable internet is required.

Travel: Local travel may be required for company or career-related meetings, programs and/or events.
