Position: Loan Processor

Salary: 1,500 to 1,600 AUD /month (depending on skills and years experience)

Working Hours & Conditions: Mondays to Fridays; 9am-5pm Melbourne, Australia time

Holidays: Australian Holidays

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor to support the broker with end-to-end loan processing and administrative support. This role is primarily responsible for managing loan applications from document collection through to settlement, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progress across multiple lender platforms. The Loan Processor will also provide ongoing support to clients and the broker, helping deliver a high-quality client experience while maintaining strong organisation and workflow management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loan Processing & Administration (Primary role)

  • Collect, organise, and verify client documents (ID, income, liabilities, etc.).
  • Enter and update client data in CRM, AOL and lender platforms.
  • Prepare application files for broker review prior to submission.
  • Track application progress and liaise with lenders for status updates.
  • Manage upcoming settlement to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate digital filing and compliance documentation.
  • Be across the industry compliance obligations and changes

Client & Broker Support

  • Support the broker with managing inbound enquiries and maintain the broker’s calendar.
  • Prepare client onboarding documents, fact‑find forms, and follow‑up communications.
  • Provide timely updates to clients, lenders, and referral partners.
  • Assist with post‑settlement follow‑ups and client retention activities (rate reviews).
  • Collaborate with broker to develop workflow and client experience journey (first three months)

Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Previous experience (minimum 2+ years) as a virtual assistant and loan processor.
  • Previous experience with Mercury and AOL systems
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, cloud storage, and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Strong understanding of mortgage broking processes and lender requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
