- Friday: 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM

- Rotating Saturday: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

As a Loan Servicing Specialist I at Sandia Area, you are responsible for delivering excellent service while maintaining personal accountability in your actions and behaviors. By prioritizing member satisfaction and operational efficiency, you directly contribute to the organization’s mission of strengthening financial well-being for our members and community. You are entrusted to uphold our values in every interaction, ensuring trust, accuracy, and a focus on service excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage loan servicing and collections support functions, including preparing legal referral packages, coordinating with attorneys, processing charge-offs, and maintaining accurate collection records.
  • Perform account maintenance and servicing transactions, including payment transfers, loan modifications, bankruptcy coding, payment adjustments, and updates to loan terms within the core processing system.
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance by monitoring loans for adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA, ECOA, SCRA, flood insurance requirements, and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, including indexing loan and collection documents, preparing board reports, reconciling insurance premiums, managing ChexSystems reporting, and reviewing reports for data anomalies and accuracy.
  • Provide operational support and cross-functional assistance by serving as a backup for various loan servicing functions, responding to internal and member correspondence, and contributing to efficient department operations while maintaining high standards of service, confidentiality, and professionalism.
