We are hiring for utility drivers to join our team in Shelbyville, TN!
Our utility drivers help us serve our entire customer base here in Shelbyville. We haul live chickens and dry freight as well. This is a full-time position, and you must have a proven record of safety and reliability. This position requires a driver with a flexible schedule due to the customers' scheduling.
While hauling live chickens, you will be paid by the load, which averages out to $24 per hour, and when hauling dry freight, you will be paid $24.00 per hour.

- $24.00 per hour
- Mon through Fri. with some Saturdays
- Eligibility for annual performance raises.
Local Utility Truck Driver Job Details:
- Hauling rendering material in a covered trailer from a customer processing facility in Shelbyville, TN to Hanceville, AL
- Because this is a utility position, daily assignments and start/end times may vary depending on customer and operational needs.
- Transporting freight between locations as assigned
- Moving and spotting trailers within the yard
- Performing yard-switching duties at various locations
- Completing required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicating with dispatch and operations regarding daily assignments
- Following all DOT, company, customer, and safety requirements
- Local & home daily.

Requirements
- 23 years old or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1 year of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience
- Must pass a DOT physical or possess one that is current
- No serious traffic violations within the past 3 years (careless, reckless, negligent, etc.)
- No major at fault accidents within the past 3 years
- No failed or refused drug or alcohol tests
- No DUI/DWI convictions within the last 10 years
