About the Role
We are establishing a new Design Firm / Architectural Practice in Dubai and are seeking an Emirati engineer to serve as the licensed Local Manager of the engineering consultancy office. The successful candidate will be the registered manager of the practice, responsible for its licensing, regulatory compliance and professional standing, and will play a key part in building the firm from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the licensed local manager of the engineering consultancy office, in line with Dubai Municipality requirements
• Ensure compliance with Local Order No. (89) of 1994, its executive regulations, and Executive Council Resolution No. (65) of 2022
• Represent the firm before Dubai Municipality, the Emirates Society of Engineers and other government and regulatory bodies
• Provide professional and technical oversight of design and consultancy deliverables
• Support business development, client relationships and project strategy
• Work with the leadership team on staffing, procedures and quality standards for the practice
• Maintain full-time commitment to office operations
Skills
Requirements
• UAE National (Emirati), holding valid UAE Residency and Emirates ID
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, attested
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a field aligned with the required specialisation
• Active member of the Emirates Society of Engineers
• Clear Certificate of Good Conduct and Behaviour from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation
• Ability to commit full-time to office work, with actual residency in the UAE of no less than 9 months per year
• Willingness to sign an undertaking not to practice construction contracting or building materials trading while the license remains active
• Valid NOC from the current sponsor or employer to open an engineering consultancy office in Dubai and transfer sponsorship to it
• Strong knowledge of Dubai’s regulatory and authority approval environment
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
