Locomotive Driver (Casual)

Job Title: Locomotive Driver (Casual)
Location: G3 Saskatoon West
The Locomotive Driver performs duties related to safe operation of the locomotive.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

Comply at all times with corporate EH&S policies and best practices.
Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships with all G3 and terminal staff
Safe operation of the locomotive on car loading day
Shift work – extended hours
Ability to take direction from G3 Terminal Staff while loading

Qualifications:

Strong work ethic, ability to learn and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position
Locomotive experience an asset (may consider training)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Able to troubleshoot minor locomotive problems
Familiarity with handling grain is an asset
Must have good working knowledge of CROR (Canadian Railway Operating Requirements)
Familiar with Department of Transportation regulations
Good radio communication skills
Current Locomotive Operator Certification is an asset (training can be arranged)
Trackside and track safety training/knowledge
