Locum Dentist #HGNT

We are hiring a Locum Dentist to support our client for their clinical research study.

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct standardised periodontal examinations according to the approved study protocol.

- Measure periodontal probing depth (PPD) and gingival recession using appropriate periodontal instruments.

- Assess clinical attachment loss (CAL), where required by the study protocol.

- Record gingival health indicators, including bleeding on probing (BOP) and other relevant periodontal parameters.

- Ensure accurate, consistent and reproducible clinical measurements across participants and study visits.

- Document findings in designated study case report forms.

- Collect saliva samples from study participants according to standardised study procedures.

- Ensure appropriate sample identification, handling and transfer to the research team for processing and storage.

- Follow infection prevention, biosafety and sample collection procedures.

- Collaborate with the clinical research team to coordinate participant assessments.

- Ensure participant comfort, safety and confidentiality throughout examinations.

- Identify clinically significant oral health findings and communicate them to the designated study clinician or research team for appropriate follow-up.

- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with the approved study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and relevant institutional requirements.

Requirements

- Location: Kent Ridge

- Working Arrangement: Flexible, session-based appointments scheduled according to study participant visits.

- Contract Duration: Based on study requirements and recruitment schedule.

- Salary: Open for discussion, depending on experience and agreed clinical sessions.

- Degree in Dentistry (BDS, DDS or equivalent).

- Valid registration with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) and appropriate practising authorisation for the role.

- Previous clinical experience conducting periodontal examinations, including periodontal probing and gingival measurements advantageous.

- Experience with saliva sample collection or willingness to follow study-specific collection procedures preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform standardised clinical assessments.

- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary research team.

- Experience conducting full-mouth periodontal assessments and recording periodontal indices.

- Familiarity with clinical research documentation and Good Clinical Practice preferred.

- Postgraduate training or additional clinical experience in periodontology advanatageous.
