Logistics And Operations Lead

Open 19d

Description

We are looking for a process-driven operator to formalize our hardware procurement from the ground up. This role exists to take full ownership of the hardware lifecycle, moving us from a reactive "emergency" state to a proactive, structured operation. You will be the architect of the systems that ensure our equipment is ready and paid for before the demand even hits.

What you’ll work on

  • Process ownership: Design and own the end-to-end hardware request, procurement, and payment workflow. You will build the system that removes the need for constant leadership intervention.
  • Financial strategy: Define and hit payment SLAs (targeting 48–72 hours for standard orders up to 20,000 AED) and establish clear escalation paths for high-value items.
  • Demand forecasting: Proactively engage with portfolio companies to collect hardware forecasts. You ensure that regional expansions and large-scale deployments are anticipated months in advance.
  • Logistics & compliance: Manage all device imports and customs clearance. This includes navigating TDRA certification and regulatory approvals for hardware entering the UAE.
  • Vendor management: Act as the primary liaison with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring high-level relationship management so that payments and deliveries remain seamless.
  • Requirements

  • UAE operations mastery: Extensive experience handling logistics and operations for external services specifically within the UAE.
  • Regulatory expertise: Direct experience working with TDRA and a deep understanding of UAE customs documentation and import thresholds (especially for shipments of 50+ devices).
  • Procurement background: A proven track record in vendor management, procurement administration, and managing financial workflows.
  • Independence: You must be comfortable taking high levels of initiative and managing complex tasks without being chased for updates.
  • Operational focus: This is not a tech or programming role. We need a pure logistics and supply chain professional who understands the "ground game" of moving hardware in the Middle East.
