Job Posting: Logistics Coordinator - Inbound

Availability: Full-time with an ability to work mornings, afternoons, overnights, holidays, and occasional weekends.

Reporting to the Inbound Lead, this role ensures that inbound, export, and community donations logistical requirements are met while optimizing costs and ensuring service expectations. This role requires a self-driven individual with strong communication and organizational skills who can deliver high-level service through proactive communication.

The ideal candidate will understand business-critical functions and priorities. They will confidently communicate timelines and delivery expectations across inbound, exports, and donation streams. They will drive operational excellence, identify process improvements, and ensure quality, compliance, and value across all National & International activities.

What you do (responsibilities):

  • Support the execution of inbound national and international logistics operations into North America, ensuring alignment with the direction set by the Inbound Lead
  • Coordinate and track inbound shipments from global suppliers and manufacturing sites into LUSH North America distribution points
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant import and export of goods.
  • Assist in maintaining and executing inbound transportation and export SOPs to ensure shipments meet all regulatory and customs requirements
  • Monitor shipment status, delivery timelines, transport costs, and service performance, escalating issues to the Inbound Lead as required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Manufacturing, and warehouse teams, to support smooth inbound and export flow and resolve operational challenges
  • Provide regular updates and visibility on inbound shipment status, delays, and risks to stakeholders
  • Support customs clearance processes by ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with import and export regulations.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities such as freight consolidation, routing efficiencies, and carrier utilization improvements.
  • Maintain accurate data records, shipment tracking, and documentation within internal systems
  • Help identify inbound logistics constraints and proactively communicate risks to support contingency planning led by the Inbound Lead.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service level enhancements.
  • Support carrier performance tracking and contract compliance, flagging discrepancies or issues
  • Provide operational support for projects and initiatives related to inbound international logistics
  • Foster strong working relationships with external partners (freight forwarders, brokers, vendors) and internal teams to ensure alignment and service excellence
  • Take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, escalating complex issues appropriately to the Inbound Lead
  • Ensure timely communication of any disruptions that could impact inventory availability or downstream operations

Who you are (qualifications):

Required:

  • Has held current role for a minimum of 1 year
  • At least 2 years of direct experience working in Logistics, Procurement and/or Distribution at Lush or externally
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and resourceful when dealing with issues and challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with others at all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment, and the ability to adapt and change
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and driven to achieve desired results
  • Service-oriented with keen attention to detail and diligent on follow-up
  • Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite
  • Respect for your working environment and those around you
  • Ability to travel domestically or or International travel as required

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in freight/transportation and procurement
  • Strong understanding of transportation metrics and their role in supporting supply chain objectives
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified
  • Knowledgeable in transportation laws and regulations
  • Experience with all modes of transportation
