The purpose of this position is to support the efficient and cost-effective movement of products across the supply chain by coordinating transport and distribution activities, managing relationships with logistics providers, monitoring performance and service levels, and driving continuous improvement to ensure products are delivered safely, on time and in full.
About You
In one of our Supply Chain roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the centre.
Job responsibilities include:
Coordinate daily transport and logistics activities to ensure customer deliveries are completed on time.
Monitor transport provider performance and assist with resolving service issues.
Maintain strong working relationships with transport carriers, warehouse teams and internal stakeholders.
Support the management and reporting of logistics KPIs, including service, cost and compliance metrics.
Assist with transport planning and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Review freight performance data and prepare regular reports for the Supply Chain team.
Process and verify transport invoices and support cost tracking activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across transport and distribution operations.
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, company policies and relevant transport legislation.
Participate in site visits and operational reviews as required to support logistics operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
2–3 years' experience in a transport, logistics, supply chain, warehousing or customer service environment.
Understanding of transport and distribution operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyse information and solve problems effectively.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering service outcomes.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers.
Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Exposure to transport planning, freight management or third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
Experience using ERP, warehouse management or transport management systems.
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and transport compliance.
Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG or distribution environment.
Experience preparing reports and analysing operational performance data.
Basic understanding of supply chain processes and continuous improvement principles.
