As a Customer Service Representative at Kuehne+Nagel, you will serve as a key point of contact between our customers and operations teams, ensuring orders, inquiries, and service requests are handled accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.
You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by managing daily communications, resolving service issues, supporting order follow-up, and helping ensure the smooth movement of goods through the supply chain.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. This individual should be able to communicate effectively, manage shifting priorities, and contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
How you create impact
- Process customer orders, requests, and inquiries accurately and within established service-level expectations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, shipment updates, inventory questions, and service concerns.
- Monitor customer orders and proactively communicate delays, exceptions, or issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations, transportation providers, inventory teams, and other departments to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain accurate customer records, order documentation, ticket updates, and system transactions.
- Support inventory investigations, shipment tracing, and order discrepancy resolution.
- Prepare and distribute reports, status updates, and customer communications as required.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Provide cross-functional support and assist with peak business demands or special projects as assigned.
What we would like you to bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or related coursework in business, supply chain, logistics, or customer service preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), warehouse, distribution, or transportation environment required.
- 1-2 years of experience using a ticketing system such as ClickUp, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or a similar platform preferred.
- Prior customer service experience supporting order management, customer inquiries, or service issue resolution preferred.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, Blue Yonder, or similar systems preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and delivering a positive customer experience.
