Job Description
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Supervise the work of logistics to ensure that department goals and objectives are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing logistics procedures for general and project cargo vessels..
- To assist with the operational management and handling of breakbulk, project, and general cargo.
- To manage the selection process of logistics forwarder.
- Expertise in breakbulk/project cargo handling and breakbulk vessel chartering operations.
- Control and coordinate with forwarder, other logistics partner, custom, and government entity, if any.
- Manage and ensure the material to be delivered to site on time without delay.
- Managing and expediting vendor production schedules to ensure timely material readiness.
- To know basic study of route survey and study.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience.
- Significant knowledge of logistics.
- Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants.
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience.
Skills and knowledge
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Ability to review logistics documents.
- Ability to control and coordinate with forwarder, other logistics partner, custom, and government entity, if any.
- Familiarity with various logistics systems, especially with EPC Companies.
- Working in logistics for construction of plants.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.
Others
- UAE Driving License is advantageous
