Logistics Executive
Summary
Coordinate and track sea and air freight shipments of machinery and parts, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency while managing documentation and supplier communications.
Job Description
- Handle shipments of complete machine, spare parts by sea and air freight
- Update and track freight cost every fortnight
- Provide for quotation of freight costs with designated period
- Ensure timely delivery in compliance to documentations and/or customer's requests
- Identify special requirements/restrictions for various countries - Form E, Form M, SGS,etc
- Monitor any delays in shipments and update sales personnel with supporting information
- Work closely with internal departments to coordinate shipment and to liaise with shipping lines / forwarders.
- Update reports into public server
- Ensure timely receipt of BL and transmission to customer
- Monitoring cost and delivery lead time to achieve the most economical logistics solution for local (Singapore) transportation between port, yard, customer site, workshops
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain
- Preferably with 1-2 years relevant experience
- Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Pleasant Personality
- Highly driven with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin (in order to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking suppliers)
- Understanding of International Trade, Incoterms and Letters of Credit is necessary
