Summary
Oversee logistics, fleet, and traffic operations at a NASA center, ensuring compliance with federal policies and managing contractor performance.
As the Transportation Officer for Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in the Logistics and Transportation Management Branch, you will be responsible for ensuring that all transportation, traffic management, and fleet management activities at the Center are performed in accordance with Federal and NASA policies and regulations. You will also be responsible for long-range planning, resources management, and monitoring contractor performance.
Serves as the GSFC Transportation Officer and technical advisor to the Center Director for all transportation and traffic management activities and serves as the focal point for all transportation and traffic management functions at the Center.
Ensures the efficient operation of transportation and traffic management activities within the Center in accordance with applicable Federal and NASA policies and regulations.
Serves as the GSFC Vehicle Fleet Manager providing oversight of all fleet management activities, including: long-range strategic planning, fleet asset management, vehicle operations, and fleet maintenance.
Enhances the awareness of transportation and vehicle fleet management requirements and processes through customer outreach efforts.
Monitors contractor performance and provides analysis and planning support for improving contractor operations.
