Summary
Oversee logistics for military munitions programs, analyzing production, planning schedules, and coordinating maintenance using the Logistics Modernization Program.
About the Position: This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist located in the Support Division of the Letterkenny Munitions Center located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Position to be filled at either the GS-09, GS-11 or GS-12 depending on level of experience. Full performance at the GS-12 grade level.
Plan, coordinate and evaluate actions required to support the weapon systems and ammunition programs within the business areas of Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munitions (MFOM), and Interservice Missiles (ISM).
Plan, coordinate and evaluate actions required to support the weapon systems and ammunition programs within the business areas of Demilitarization (including reuse, recovery, reclamation, and resale) of munitions.
Review and analyze production problems.
Identify and implement studies or projects involving mission changes, technological advances, etc.
Plan, schedule, review, forecast workload, and adjust production programs using the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
Develop project and program cost estimates.
Develop operational marketing plans for the organization.
Coordinate CONUS and OCONUS maintenance trips in support of assigned projects.
