Key Responsibilities
- Transportation & Routing: Plan shipping routes, select carriers, and negotiate freight rates and vendor contracts.
- Warehouse Operations: Manage inventory levels, oversee storage layouts, and track stock accuracy.
- Order Cycle Management: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Budget Oversight: Monitor operational costs, control expenditures, and build cost-reduction strategies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse and logistics staff.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local shipping laws, regulations, and safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Supply Chain Management (SCM) software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Analytical Abilities: Skill in tracking performance metrics, analyzing delivery data, and fixing supply chain bottlenecks.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or logistics, plus 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in warehousing or transportation.
