Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, dispatch, shipping, and distribution. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods, optimizing logistics processes, coordinating with suppliers and transport partners, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee day-to-day logistics and transportation operations.
• Coordinate the movement of materials and finished goods from suppliers and warehouses to customers.
• Manage transportation, dispatch, shipping, warehousing, and distribution activities.
• Develop efficient transportation routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, suppliers, vendors, warehouses, and customers.
• Monitor shipments and provide timely updates regarding delivery status and delays.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with transporters, logistics service providers, and freight partners.
• Monitor logistics costs and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper documentation for dispatch, shipping, transportation, and import/export activities where applicable.
• Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Manage fleet utilization, vehicle scheduling, and transportation resources where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with transportation, safety, customs, and company regulations.
• Identify and resolve shipment delays, damaged goods, transportation issues, and other logistics-related problems.
• Track key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, freight cost, turnaround time, and order fulfillment.
• Prepare logistics reports, MIS, operational records, and performance analysis for management.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
• Lead, supervise, and train logistics staff to achieve operational targets.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain departments.
• Use ERP/SAP, warehouse, and transportation management systems for tracking and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
