Logistics Project Engineer - Civil Construction
Job Summary
The Logistics Engineer will lead site-level supply chain and material movement operations for major civil infrastructure projects. This role aligns site logistics with construction schedules, optimizes staging, and manages international and local transport workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive site logistics and traffic management plans aligned with project schedules to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee international freight logistics, including customs procedures and handling of oversized cargo to facilitate timely deliveries
- Manage staging yards and optimize Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery sequences within spatial constraints to improve efficiency
- Control site access points, gate flow, and traffic management protocols to maintain site security and operational flow
- Serve as the central liaison for logistics coordination with the Main Contractor, site engineers, and third-party consultants to ensure alignment
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven experience in civil construction logistics
- Ability to work a 5.5-day week on-site and adapt to shift work during critical project execution phases
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in trackwork or rail infrastructure construction
