We are seeking an experienced Logistics Procurement Specialist to lead partner sourcing, pricing strategy, and cost optimization across international logistics operations. This role plays a critical part in building a reliable logistics partner network, driving competitive service rates, and improving overall supply chain efficiency through data-driven insights and strategic sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and qualify logistics service providers based on customer and business requirements
- Lead partner selection through structured bidding (RFQ, rate negotiation, profit simulation, and operational evaluation)
- Manage and maintain a robust logistics partner pool, including periodic credit assessments
- Develop and provide competitive logistics pricing to support business performance
- Drive cost optimization and innovation initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability
- Conduct market research and analysis on logistics demand, supply capacity, and trends
- Monitor and manage logistics market indices to proactively identify and mitigate risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any 4-year course
- At least 10 years of experience in logistics operations, procurement, or sourcing
- Experience in global freight forwarding (ocean/air), customs clearance, and trucking
- Background in ocean freight sales or logistics pricing/sourcing is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
