Valkyrie Clinical Trials (VCT), a Flourish Research Company, is a leading Oncology multi-site clinical research network with expertise in Oncology research. VCT approaches clinical research with a deep sense of humanity, compassion, and sincere kindness. VCT was founded by leading Clinical Oncologist, Dr. David Berz, and has multiple sites spanning California in Century City, Panorama City, and Murrieta, and has recently expanded to Denver, Colorado.

We are actively hiring a Logistics Specialist to support our Valkyrie Clinical Trials Century City, Los Angeles, CA site.

The Logistics Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operational readiness of our oncology clinical research site. This individual is responsible for coordinating lab kits, study supplies, sponsor-provided equipment, and incoming and outgoing shipments - ensuring materials are accurately tracked, properly stored, and available when needed to support active studies and patient visits. Working closely with clinical, laboratory, and site teams, the Logistics Specialist helps maintain organized, compliant, and audit-ready operations while recognizing that accuracy and urgency in logistics directly support research integrity and patient safety.

LOCATION: Onsite, Century City, Los Angeles, CA
FLSA: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week
COMPENSATION: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, inventory, and store lab kits and study supplies in accordance with sponsor specifications and oncology protocol requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively coordinate reorders to prevent study, patient visit, or dosing delays
  • Maintain and document appropriate storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and chain-of-custody requirements
  • Prepare and ship laboratory samples and kits according to sponsor instructions, study team direction, and applicable dry ice, biohazard, and hazardous-material regulations
  • Receive, track, maintain, and organize sponsor-provided equipment, including electronic devices, centrifuges, specimen-processing tools, and other study assets
  • Serve as the primary site contact for sponsor-provided equipment and coordinate equipment returns at study close-out
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs, including maintenance records, usage history, malfunctions, and damage reports
  • Manage incoming and outgoing packages from couriers, sponsors, laboratories, and vendors
  • Document package receipts and ensure materials are promptly distributed to the appropriate study teams
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, including preparing manifests, scheduling pickups, and ensuring compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for courier accounts and shipping vendors
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready storage areas for study and operational supplies
  • Collaborate with study coordinators, laboratory staff, nurses, and site leadership to anticipate supply needs and support sponsor visits, audits, inspections, and new-study onboarding
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • One to three years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a clinical research environment
  • Experience in oncology, clinical research, healthcare, or pharmaceutical settings preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory specimen handling, cold-chain logistics, or IATA/DOT shipping regulations preferred
  • Experience with clinical trial supply management or inventory-tracking systems preferred
  • Understanding of the urgency, accuracy, and sensitivity required in oncology patient care environments
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain clear, consistent systems that can be followed by relevant stakeholders
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory or tracking applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
  • A reliable and accountable mindset with ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate needs before they become issues
  • A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary oncology and clinical research teams
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy, recognizing that effective logistics directly supports clinical research integrity and patient safety
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures, including safe material-handling requirements
