For our Client, a leading international engineering contractor, we are recruiting for the position of:

Logistics Supervisor – Data Centre Project

Location: Milan, Italy
Work model: On-site

Your responsibilities

As Logistics Supervisor, you will coordinate the movement of materials, deliveries, equipment and personnel across a major Data Centre construction site.

You will ensure that deliveries are properly planned, storage areas remain controlled and site access is not disrupted by competing subcontractor requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• planning and controlling on-site and near-site storage areas;
• allocating storage space according to project priorities;
• managing the online delivery-booking system;
• coordinating delivery schedules with subcontractors, suppliers and security;
• ensuring materials arrive only when suitable storage and handling capacity is available;
• implementing and maintaining an effective call-off system;
• protecting access routes and preventing delivery congestion;
• monitoring the capacity and availability of cranes, hoists and other vertical-transport equipment;
• coordinating lifting activities with the Appointed Person and Crane Coordinator;
• supporting weekly logistics and delivery-planning meetings;
• monitoring actions and resolving logistics-related issues;
• coordinating communication between site security, construction teams and subcontractors;
• supporting accommodation and vehicle arrangements for site employees;
• maintaining accurate logistics records, trackers and reports.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• previous experience in construction-site logistics, ideally on a large-scale project;
• experience coordinating deliveries, storage areas, access routes and lifting operations;
• the ability to manage several subcontractors and suppliers simultaneously;
• strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills;
• the ability to anticipate logistics constraints and act before they affect the programme;
• confidence using digital delivery-booking and reporting systems;
• strong communication and stakeholder-management skills;
• a practical, decisive and highly organised approach;
• a good command of English;
• legal eligibility to work in Italy;
• willingness to work on-site in Milan.

Previous experience on a Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical or other complex construction project will be a significant advantage.
