Logistics Supervisor
Job summary
The logistics supervisor is responsible for providing enough qualified and adapted resources to operations and to support all activities by providing services in the fields of operations workforce, ergonomic, warehouse organization and logistics, facilities, building maintenance and premises.
Responsibilities
- Workforce management (for operations)
Anticipate and determine needs for operators
Define job descriptions for all operational roles
Workforce acquisition
Organize trainings
Weekly planning for operations
Provide quick replacement in cases of absence and unavailability of an operator
DRI - responsible for reporting (hours/contracts)
Personnel administration management of the operational team
Evaluation of the operational team (in collaboration with team leaders) - Ergonomics and security
Provide advice and expertise about ergonomics of workstations
Organize security in the production area and in the warehouse
Implement all health and safety requirements (legal and recommended for the activity) - Equipment, workstations and consumables
Update equipment stored in the warehouse on request - Warehouse management
Manage storage in the warehouse
Anticipate the needs and take needed actions
Implement security rules
Operate with the forklift
Reduce cost of storage (optimize area, reduce sqm, facilitate localization and search)
Check storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.)
Organize internal logistics - Building and facilities
Check all needs for administrative, contractual or financial intervention - Technical and pre-sales expertise
Provide expertise in AV as pre-sales support or once a contract is won and expertise is needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse management, or operational supervision, ideally within an audiovisual, media, or production environment
- Proven experience in workforce planning and coordination, including shift scheduling and replacement management
- Experience managing a multicultural, shift-based team is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work within health and safety standards and best practices
- Previous exposure to ergonomic assessment and workstation optimization is a strong asset
- Familiarity with AV logistics, production workflows, or pre-sales technical support is a plus
- Proficient in inventory control systems, barcode scanning, and ERP or warehouse management software
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment) is preferred
- Comfortable in a diverse, international team
