Logistics Supplier Manager

Context

Member of the Supplier Account Team, representing Logistics in a multi-disciplinary team for a lower-complexity supplier account (defined by e.g. complexity of problems, product phase, number of escalations, supplier capability, supplier maturity).

Manages a limited number of internal stakeholders at peer level in Sourcing and Procurement, Supplier Operations, BL's (occasionally) D&E and the factory, and supplier stakeholders at peer level.

Requirements

Master degree with thorough experience or equivalent working and thinking level.

Possesses a strong working knowledge of the function led, including the underlying theories and concepts of distribution management.

Responsibilities

Supplier relationship management

Ensure supplier intimacy with peer-level stakeholders to a level that guarantees trust, transparency and constructive two-way interaction.

Supplier performance management

Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of lower-complexity supplier. Support the delivery of improvements by suppliers. Address performance escalations towards Q&L Management, Supplier Account Leaders (SAL) / Group Supplier Managers and supplier management to accelerate improvement progress.

Contribute to the organization of suppliers ORMs and make sure preparation has the desired quality (e.g., discussion).

Critical Material Escalations

First point of contact in case of any Logistics-related escalations, both internally and towards suppliers. Lead for escalations L2 (= Factory/Field Operations impacted) and contribute to the resolution of L3 (= customer commitments at risk) escalations.

Maintain and drive capacity ramp-up plans, incl Supply chain flexibility

Managing the MR capability growth, and contribute to overall plan to maintain and drive mid-term capacity planning, including needed actions and investments used as preparing for ASML internal capital investment decisions.

Ensure implementation of a strategy per supplier how to deal with short term re-inns and re-outs, plan reductions, inventory levels and E&O risks.

Deployment of Sourcing & Procurement priorities and supplier Logistics capability management, incl Logistics requirements in contracting

Responsible for implementing of improvement programs at suppliers according to ASML or cluster strategy and using the supplier profile as general framework to assess supplier capability and maturity and identify gaps (such as On Time Delivery, Lean, and Cycle Time reduction). Ensure Supplier Improvement Plans (IPs) are in place to close Supplier Capability gaps and assure that supplier delivers according ASML’s requirements (Supplier profile baseline; content, quality, timing).

Contributes to set Logistics requirements for supplier account plans, NPI projects and for supplier.

Identify risks and drive mitigating actions

Identify risks in n-tier Supply Chain and contribute to mitigation actions. Involves team in issue identification

Lead departmental or cross-sectoral improvements

Initiates and completes concrete improvement initiatives with proper alignment and reasonable scope. Lead of workstream as part of improvement program.
