SAIC is seeking a Logistics Support III to support our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Duties:

  • Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records. This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Oversee receiving and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly.
  • Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources.
  • Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules, and determine material requirements to ensure availability.
  • Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and 5 years or more of related experience.
  • An Interim Secret clearance is required to begin working. US Citizenship required.
  • Procurement or accounting experience required.
  • Excellent communications skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively; excellent Microsoft Office experience.
  • Materials management, Customer focused, Cash handling, Shipping/Receiving, Create and follow processes for above.
