Logistics Support Officer
About the Role
Goonite (NG) Hygiene Product FZE, a major FMCG manufacturer and distributor known for its Lebrace Diapers and Besense Sanitary Pads brands, is seeking a Logistics Support Officer to onboard credible transporters, develop logistics processes, and ensure timely, cost-efficient shipment delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard credible transporters with emphasis on cost reduction/control
- Develop logistics processes, SOPs, and structures
- Understand the types and qualities of trucks required for shipment
- Follow up with transporters on truck bookings and transit issues
- Ensure expected time of arrivals are met and trucks offload without shortages
- Understand parameters affecting rate fluctuation and stay abreast of location-based rates
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to optimize shipping routes
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to reduce workplace accidents
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders on shipment concerns
Requirements
- HND or BSc in any related field
- 1–2 years' working experience in a similar role
- Must have worked in FMCG industry, preferably diaper & sanitary pad companies
- Excellent reporting skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must reside at Ibeju Lekki/Eleko/Akodo
