Serves as the Energy Policy Program Manager, providing primary oversight for the development, interpretation, and implementation of Department of Defense (DoD), DLA, and DLA Energy supply chain doctrine, policies, and procedures.
Manages the lifecycle of departmental policies governing a wide range of energy commodities, including petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, chemicals, and cryogenic fluids, ensuring all associated audit-related materials are maintained.
Acts as the DLA Energy central point of contact for all energy supply chain guidance, overseeing the coordination and appropriate implementation of instructions from -
- OSD, JCS, and other regulating sources across the Component Services and Combatant Commands.
Reviews and analyzes proposed changes to doctrine and policy, conducts studies on complex problem areas, research applicable U.S. statutes, and develops alternative policy recommendations for DLA Energy senior management.
Develops, revises, and publishes DLA supply chain guidance, ensuring all organizational instructions and operating procedures are current, clear, and concise in accordance with the DLA Plain Language Program.
Ensures DLA Energy policies and procedures are well-documented, regularly maintained, and compliant with applicable laws and audit readiness standards, providing clear guidance to the workforce on evidential matter requirements.
Serves as a DLA Energy negotiator to resolve disputes and conflicts that arise during the coordination and implementation of energy supply chain policy with stakeholders such as DoD, Federal Trading Partners, and DLA Major Subordinate Commands.
