Summary
Long-haul truck driver transporting goods from a manufacturing plant to customer sites, performing vehicle inspections, loading/unloading, and maintaining logs and permits.
Scope: Delivers product from manufacturing plant to customer sites with longer runs.
- Performs all duties in a safe and legal manner, being responsible for yourself and the employees around you.
- Loads and unloads product using motorized pumps.
- Drives truck from manufacturing plant to customer sites and return.
- Makes necessary stops to fuel and maintain truck.
- Performs pre-trip inspections.
- Keeps truck clean and orderly.
- Keeps accurate, current paperwork.
- Maintains current permits required for the truck.
- Maintains accurate driver’s daily logs.
- Makes DOT vehicle inspections for air brakes, lights, and safety equipment.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the company.
Operates following equipment:
- Tractor – trailer
- Pump equipment and valves at sites and on trucks
