The Kirkwood School District is hiring a Long Term School Counselor - Substitute to support North Glendale Elementary School.

The Long-Term School Counselor Substitute will provide academic, social-emotional, and personal support to students. The substitute will help maintain continuity of counseling services and support students' overall well-being and success. Candidates may include certified school counselors, licensed teachers, or qualified professionals with backgrounds in social work or psychology.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual check-ins, small groups, and conflict resolution/de-escalation.
• Assist with course scheduling, graduation tracking, and college/career planning.
• Collaborate with teachers, leadership, and parents to support student growth.
• Maintain confidential student records and connect families with district resources.

Must have a valid Missouri School Counselor Certification.

Long Term Substitute pay is $27.00 per hour
