Job Title: Long Term Sub ELA School Teacher (Jr/Sr High)

Job Summary: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate the students of Independent School District #578 in the educational process as defined by local and state department regulations and guidelines.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Education or relevant instructional subject area.
• License: Licensed teachers in the State of MN with appropriate licensure for assigned ares of responsibility or proof of pending approved licensure.
• Experience: Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban,multicultural education setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and monitor student progress of students in assigned classes and report student progress to parents; work with support staff and administration in dealing with student concerns in and outside of the teacher classroom
• Select and prepare educational activities for the course and also in a weekly lesson plan format; the activities are aligned with district and state outcomes
• Participate in meetings such as: building staff meetings, department meetings, grade level meetings, K-12 curriculum meetings, staff development meetings, parent-teacher conferences, open houses
• Supervise students during the school day according to the established building supervision schedule as well as indirect supervision at all times during school activities
• Maintain current licensure for the areas assigned to teach.

Start Date: Estimated December 7 - March, 2027

Salary Range: $258.95 / day
