Rate of Pay: $314.21 per diem
Description:
Palmyra School District is seeking a certified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a Third Grade classroom at Charles Street Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary education and a commitment to nurturing the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Elementary Education or Preschool through Grade 3 certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard)
- Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance
- Mantoux (TB) test in accordance with NJDOE regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
- Identify student needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs
- Coooperate with other professional staff members to assess and resolve learning difficulties
- Create and maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
- Partner with paraprofessionals and specialists to support student needs
- Monitor student progress and complete required assessments
- Maintain records of student eduational progress and summarize records for reporting purposes
- Maintain open communication with families and participate in school events

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education in accordance with the negotiated agreement.
