POSITION: Long-term Substitute – Technology Education Teacher

LOCATION: Southington High School

Anticipated dates: December 7, 2026 through March 12, 2027

SALARY: Per union contract

This position is anticipated to be over sixty (60) days and is covered by Appendix B of the Southington Education Association contract.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• CT certification in Technology Education (047) or eligibility for certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of technology education, engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, and project-based learning (Project Lead The Way certification preferred).
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience integrating STEM, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and design thinking into instruction.
• Experience with 3D printing, CAD software systems (Fusion, Onshape, Tinkercad), and industry-standard manufacturing equipment.
• Experience teaching introductory-level manufacturing, engineering, or similar courses at the secondary level.
