LORRY DRIVER

Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy

· Performing basicrepairs and maintenance in the event of accident orbreakdown while in transit

· Safely securing heavyloads and large goods for transport

· Organising the mostefficient route from pickup point to drop off point

· Keeping informed ofroad closures, accidents and traffic diversions

· Organising multipledrop-offs and deliveries in each working day

· Supervising andassisting with the loading and unloading of deliveriesinto the lorry

· Updating vehicle logbooks, recording deliveries and tracking mileage

· Complying with all MOTand in-house regulations and rules
