Lorry Driver
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation: Drive light or heavy lorries safely while following all local traffic rules and road regulations.
- Loading & Unloading: Load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring cargo is undamaged and properly arranged.
- Route Planning: Map out efficient delivery schedules and routes while factoring in traffic conditions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on tires, oil levels, and brakes, reporting any faults.
- Job Requirements
- Valid License: Hold a valid local driving license (such as a Class 3 for light lorries or Class 4 for heavy commercial trucks).
- Experience: Prior experience driving commercial box or diesel lorries.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to sit for long hours and lift heavy items or boxes during loading.
- Soft Skills: Good time management, punctuality, and basic customer service skills
