Loss Prevention Officer (Security) - The Warehouse, Hawera (Part-time)
Summary
Part-time security role monitoring retail premises, preventing theft, and ensuring staff/customer safety through patrols, camera surveillance, and customer interactions.

Hours of work:
- Sun, Mon 8:00am-4.30pm
- Tues 8:00am-2.30pm
- Wed 1:30-8:00pm
We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security cameras
- Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
- Interact with customers and address their concerns
- Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.
- Expiry Checks throughout our grocery department
- All other duties requested of you
He kōrero mōu ake - About you
Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Some previous security experience is a requirement of this role. Ideally, you will have good communication skills, Computer skills and the ability to input data with ease and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.
Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
