Low Level Linux Expert - Belgium / Hybrid

Tasks:
-Upgrade existing customized linux kernels for custom boards
-Integrate customized kernels into buildroot
-Debug (network) driver issues
-Custom board bring-up (u-boot, device tree, secure boot, etc.)
-Validate correct operation of hardware interfaces

Knowledge:
-Linux kernel
-Buildroot
-Hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, PCIe, *MII, etc.)

Nice to have: C++, CMake

Extra information:
- Experienced mid-level or senior. Considering the relatively short duration, we would prefer someone who can quickly start the task without requiring extensive training.
- In the initial weeks, there will be a significant amount of information exchange required between the client's developers and the new consultant. So, it would be beneficial for the consultant to be largely present during those first weeks. It may also be helpful for them to have access to the board they will be working on. Afterward, more remote work can be considered.
- Main Responsibilities: Updating the kernel version in an image running on the router hardware within our projector and resolving network driver issues, possibly also updating the kernel version of another image on the client's main board.
