SUMMARY:

In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of

Hours: Every other weekend 7:00am- 11:00am

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Patient Care and Assessment

  • Monitor and document clients’ responses to methadone treatment and any side effects or complications.
  • Administer methadone and suboxone doses in accordance with clinic protocols and ensure accurate dosage and timing.

Medication Management

  • Prepare and dispense methadone and other prescribed medications.
  • Monitor clients for signs of medication misuse or adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client progress.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each client
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinic documentation requirements.
  • Report any significant changes in clients’ health status or treatment response to the appropriate supervisor.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing methadone treatment and opioid addiction.

Professional Development

  • Stay current with best practices, trends, and regulations in addiction treatment and nursing.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities related to methadone treatment and addiction recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Previous experience in a methadone clinic or addiction treatment setting is preferred.
  • Experience in medication management and patient education.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare documentation systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and respond to emergencies calmly.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • LPN with a valid state license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience in addiction treatment or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license
