Nursing is more than vitals, medications, and paperwork. Here, it's about being the person a young person learns they can trust.

If you're an LPN looking for something different from traditional bedside nursing, this could be the change you've been looking for.

At Four Oaks, our nurses play an important role in supporting young people who need consistency, compassion, and someone in their corner. You'll use your nursing skills every day—but you'll also have the opportunity to build relationships, educate, advocate, and become part of a team helping youth move forward.

No two days are exactly the same, and your impact goes far beyond passing medications.

What Does Nursing at Four Oaks Look Like?

As an LPN, you'll help coordinate and provide nursing care for youth in our programs while working alongside a team of professionals committed to their health, safety, and success.

You'll:

  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
  • Get to know the youth you serve and build relationships based on trust and consistency.
  • Assess health concerns and determine when additional medical care is needed.
  • Provide medical triage and coordinate appropriate interventions.
  • Help coordinate medical, psychiatric, and psychological appointments and services.
  • Manage physician orders, appointments, medication records, and required medical documentation.
  • Oversee medication management procedures, including proper distribution, storage, and return of medications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Provide TB testing within established guidelines.
  • Help educate youth and staff on health and wellness topics.
  • Provide training in areas such as CPR, First Aid, and health education.
  • Review medication errors and participate in continuous quality improvement.
  • Recognize and appropriately report health, safety, and public health concerns.
  • Provide nursing oversight related to established safety and behavioral protocols.
  • Participate in periodic on-call needs, including occasional daytime and overnight situations.

Why This LPN Role?

Maybe you're ready for nursing that feels a little more personal.

Here, you're not just seeing someone for a few minutes and moving on to the next patient. You have the opportunity to know the young people you're caring for, recognize when something isn't quite right, celebrate their progress, and become a trusted part of their support system.

It's nursing with purpose, variety, and connection.
