LPN NURSE

Position Details

• Office Location: Storm Lake
• Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 50 weeks/year
• Schedule: Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain children’s immunization records and health documentation.
• Perform health screenings, growth assessments, vision and hearing tests, and other health assessments.
• Develop individualized health and care plans for children with special health needs.
• Support families and staff with children’s health needs and provide health education.
• Educate and support pregnant mothers during the prenatal and postnatal periods.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, staff, and community partners.
• Monitor health data and assist with required reporting and program compliance.
• Participate in program assessment, policy development, and professional development.
• Assist with staff health trainings and promote a positive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license required.
• Experience in preschool, public health, or school settings preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel; ChildPlus experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and Mandatory Reporter certification required.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
