LPN / RN – Overnight Private Duty Nurse (Thursday–Saturday)
Waxhaw, NC 28173 | One-to-one home care
We are seeking a caring, dependable LPN or RN to provide overnight nursing care for an adult client with a spinal cord injury in his home. The client is alert, oriented, and directs his own care. This is a consistent, recurring weekend-overnight schedule with one client.
Schedule (every week)
- Thursday 10:15 PM – 7:15 AM
- Friday 9:25 PM – 7:15 AM
- Saturday 7:15 PM – 7:15 AM
Nursing duties
- Monitor respiratory status, including continuous pulse oximetry
- Apply BiPAP at bedtime with oxygen support as needed
- Administer oral medications as ordered
- Assist with bathing and the bowel routine
- Provide incontinence care
- Assist with stand-pivot transfers and repositioning
- Document care on tablet
Requirements
- Active NC LPN or RN license, or compact license with NC as primary state of residence
- One year of LPN or RN experience within the last 3 years (RNs may also qualify with 1 year of LPN experience within the last 3 years)
- Experience with BiPAP/oxygen therapy and patients with spinal cord injury or other high-level mobility impairment preferred
- Current in-person CPR certification (no online-only courses)
- Must complete online assessments, drug screen, background check, and reference/license verification
- Reliable transportation to the home
