Summary

Lead onsite locomotive maintenance and repair in Buchanan, Liberia, supervising teams, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring diesel-electric fleet reliability and compliance.

  1. Supervision of Maintenance Activities
    1. Supervise day-to-day locomotive maintenance and repair work.
    2. Ensure adherence to maintenance plans, schedules, and standards.
    3. Coordinate workshop activities and workforce allocation.
  2. Technical Execution
    1. Provide hands-on technical support for complex locomotive issues.
    2. Ensure proper diagnostics, repair, and testing of locomotives.
    3. Apply OEM standards and engineering practices.
  3. Planning & Coordination
    1. Assist in maintenance planning and scheduling.
    2. Coordinate with operations to minimize equipment downtime.
  4. Quality Assurance
    1. Ensure all maintenance work meets quality and safety standards.
    2. Perform inspections and authorize return-to-service decisions.
  5. Team Leadership

    1. Supervise technicians and artisans.

    2. Technical certification in locomotive or rolling stock maintenance (advantage)
  7. Experience
    1. 8–12 years in rolling stock or heavy equipment maintenance
    2. 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
    3. Experience in expatriate or remote environments (advantage)
    4. Proven experience with diesel-electric locomotives
