- Strategic Sourcing and Value Generation
- Lead end-to-end sourcing projects for assigned commodities (e.g., MRO, capital spares, industrial gases, or services), including market analysis, needs assessment, RFP/RFQ development, and bidder evaluation.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies to optimize pricing, payment terms, and service levels, utilizing cost-breakdown analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
- Continuously monitor commodity market trends, supplier financial stability, and geopolitical factors to proactively identify supply risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to standardize materials and specifications, driving cost reduction and efficiency through consolidation.
- SCM Process Review and Optimization

3. SCM Contract and Supplier Risk Management
- Draft, review, and finalize commercial contracts with Legal, ensuring all terms, conditions, scope of work, and performance clauses are clearly defined and protect ArcelorMittal's interests.
- Manage key supplier relationships (SRM), monitoring performance against contractual KPIs (e.g., On-Time Delivery, Quality Rate) and conducting regular business reviews.
- Ensure that all purchasing activities strictly adhere to ArcelorMittal’s Code of Conduct, internal governance rules, ethical sourcing policies, and compliance regulations.
- Implement risk mitigation plans for critical suppliers and single-source dependencies to ensure business continuity.
- Operational Excellence and P2P Support
- Manage the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for assigned spend, ensuring accurate system data (master data, pricing) and smooth processing of Purchase Orders (POs) and invoices in the ERP system (e.g., SAP).
- Resolve operational issues related to procurement, such as supplier delivery problems, quality disputes, or invoicing discrepancies, ensuring prompt resolution to prevent operational downtime.
- Actively utilize and manage e-Sourcing platforms for all competitive bidding events, promoting transparency and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of internal procurement processes and training materials.
- Qualifications / Experience / Technical Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement within mining, projects or construction industry.
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CPP, or equivalent is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge
- Expert knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law fundamentals, and risk management within the supply chain.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, price benchmarking, and spend analysis.
