LR Support Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities • Development of backend services and APIs using Java 8, Spring, & Spring Boot. • Design and implement scalable and high-performance solutions for a complex banking environment. • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate services and ensure seamless data flow. • Perform advanced database operations and optimization on Oracle DB. • Champion code quality through diligent JUnit testing and code reviews. • Contribute to our CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to ensure efficient and reliable deployments. • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and logs using Splunk. • Work proactively and take initiative to solve problems and suggest improvements. • Participate in our daily agile scrum calls, contributing to a culture of open communication and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on enterprise applications. • Strong expertise in Core Java and a deep understanding of the Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. • Proven experience with Oracle DB, including complex query writing and performance tuning. • Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like Angular (including component creation and module implementation) is highly beneficial. • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and practical experience with Jenkins and GitLab. • Expertise in unit testing with JUnit and a commitment to TDD (Test-Driven Development). • Experience in an agile methodology for iterative development, collaboration, and rapid delivery Preferred Skills • Experience in the banking or financial services domain. • Knowledge of AI concepts and a keen interest in leveraging AI for business automation. • Experience with other monitoring tools besides Splunk. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and mentor junior team members. • Additional: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven/Gradle, Git, code review and mentorship.
