Position: LTS Instructional Teaching Assistant (Posting number 2627-3957)
Location: State Road Elementary School
Dates: November 2, 2026 - December 22, 2026
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant - Level I, Level II or Level III or have NYS certification as a teacher
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
- A strong understanding of Mathematics
- Familiarity with NYS Math Standards & Practices
- Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Must have a professional repertoire including but not limited to organization, time management, technology skills, and approach
Responsibilities:
- Support students with math concepts
- Collaborate with teachers
- Assess student learning in a variety of ways
- Provides comprehensive instruction in the NYS Standards aligned Math curriculum
- Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of mathematics in addition to the ability to convey it to the students
- Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference
Salary: As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
