Summary
Supervise and support students during lunch and recess at a private Christian school in Peoria, IL, ensuring safety, discipline, and spiritual role-modeling.

Job Description
Purpose
The Lunch Assistant shall enhance the service to others from each office by providing support to the building Principal, teachers, students, and parents.
Essential Job Results
The Lunch Assistant shall
- Arrive and depart school based on PCS policies.
- Keep staff informed of any changes in schedules, etc.
- Attend and participate in all meetings as outlined in the contract or assigned by the supervi-sor.
- Know how to direct questions to get answers.
- Know and comply with emergency and crisis procedures.
- Keep proper discipline in the lunchroom.
- Contribute to the spiritual growth of the students by example
- Develop rapport with students
- Manage students during lunch - behavioral issue can be referred to the principal
- Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where lunch is eaten.
- Assisting students as needed
- Assists when needed with the cleanliness of the cafeteria
- Encourage good manners
- Assist students in following stated recess rules and procedures
- Circulate among all students during recess to ensure safety and security
- Encourage kindness and active play during recess
- If inside recess is needed (temperature below 20 degrees) walk between classrooms to ensure safe and proper play is maintained
- All other duties, as assigned, by the Board, Superintendent, building Principal, or supervisor.

- Will receive an excellent classroom environment for student growth in academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
