M&A Analyst Intern
Summary
Intern on QIMA's M&A origination team in Paris, reporting to the M&A Director: sourcing and screening acquisition targets worldwide, pitching to prospective sellers, drafting business and financial memos, performing financial analysis and valuations, and maintaining the deal pipeline database.
You will join us as M&A Origination Analyst Intern, reporting directly to the M&A Director, who is based in Europe.
Main responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Sourcing and screening potential acquisition targets across all continents, working with our appointed sourcing consultants and local business managers and using industry databases, networking, and other channels.
- Taking part in introductory meetings and pitching QIMA's projects to prospective sellers.
- Helping draft the business and financial memo on each potential target for presentation to senior management.
- Performing financial analysis and taking part in Q&A sessions with financial advisers and target management teams.
- Valuing targets and drafting letters of intent.
- Maintaining and updating our target and pipeline database throughout the sourcing and deal-execution stages.
You are in your final year or on a gap year ("césure") at a top-tier business or engineering school and available for four to six months. Successful candidates will also be:
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work under limited supervision.
- Able to multi-task and run several acquisition projects in parallel.
- Enthusiastic and personable, with a positive attitude and a genuine team-player mindset.
- Comfortable working in an international environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong listening skills.
- Fluent in English.
