M&A Senior Manager – Poland

- Lead the group M&A activity in Poland both on sale and buy side M&A.
- Lead structured sale processes of renewables projects in different phases of development and of different technologies, identifying possible partners, managing sales tenders, negotiating SPAs and DSA for assets to be divested, and overlook the fulfillment of the signed contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with, and negotiate the necessary agreements with, external stakeholders (e.g., local developers and business partners).
- Support the permitting team to ensure projects reach "Ready-to-Build" status within the planned timelines (grid-connection conditions, environmental decision, zoning/land-use conditions).
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of project-finance structures and financial modelling relevant to the Polish market (RES auction system, cable-pooling arrangements, PPA structures, EU/KPO funding instruments).
- Work in close collaboration with the Legal Department and Group M&A leadership.
- Stay up to date on sector trends, energy policy and regulatory changes to capture new opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams as required during ongoing transactions (e.g., Legal, Business Development, Project Development, Finance).
- Support ad hoc initiatives to deliver the company's commercial and growth strategy, ensuring business continuity across the Group's Polish project portfolio.
- Maintain close contact and strong collaboration with other departments across the organization (Finance, Project Development, Legal) and with Group headquarters.
Our requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a similar role within the renewable energy sector, ideally with direct exposure to the Polish and/or CEE solar and wind markets.
- Proven track record leading or co-leading M&A transactions (buy-side and/or sell-side), including deal origination, valuation, negotiation and closing.
- In-depth knowledge of the Polish and broader European renewable energy market, its participants and its regulatory framework.
- Strong business acumen and command of financial models, together with hands-on M&A experience.
- University degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration. An MBA or postgraduate specialization in M&A/Corporate Finance is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across a multicultural, multi-country organization.
- High responsiveness, flexibility and reliability in delivery.
- Change-management skills: ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while remaining aligned with regional and Group strategy.
- Polish: native or fluent.
- English: minimum C1 (advanced), required for daily interaction with regional and Group leadership; C1+ recommended.
- Working knowledge of the Polish RES regulatory and permitting framework (grid connection, environmental decision, zoning/land-use conditions, RES auction system).
