M&E Engineer
Summary
Oversee mechanical and electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure projects, coordinating contractors, ensuring code compliance, and managing site progress, testing, and handover.
- Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and civil trades.
- Manage and control M&E subcontractors, vendors and specialists.
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, method statements and specifications.
- Monitor daily site progress, quality and safety.
- Identify and resolve site coordination and technical issues.
- Conduct site inspections, testing and inspections with consultants and authorities.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore codes and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee testing, commissioning and authority approvals.
- Prepare site records, inspection checklists and progress reports.
- Manage rectification works, defects and final handover.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services recognized by the PE Board.
- Minimum 3-5 years M&E experience, specifically for LTA, MRT, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), cooling systems, and electrical distribution.
- Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to coordinate CSD, SEM (Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical), and BIM (Revit/Navisworks) models will be an advantage.
