M&E Engineer
Job Description:
- Experience of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) technical works for building projects from construction to completion.
- Render all M&E Engineering support to the M&E Manager / Project Manager/Planning Manager for the successful execution of the project.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, consultant representative (RE / RTO), relevant authorities and sub-contractors on M&E issues and challenges.
- Coordinate with all M&E subcontractors, as well as project team structural and architectural colleagues to resolve all drawings, site discrepancy or technical issues.
- Attend all project meetings and progress meetings relating to meeting master program schedule.
- Ensure good M&E drawing management and the control of M&E documentation/filing on site.
- Ensure timely production and submission of M&E shop drawings, materials submission and method statements. All M&E shop drawings, materials and method statement are to be approved before use.
- Ensure all M&E site activities are well-planned, well-coordinated and on time.
- Oversee and guide all M&E staff / Supervisors / sub-contractors, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials and method statements.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive M&E progress report when required.
- Arrange for all M&E T&C works.
- Work with Consultants to come out with proper site inspection schedule to be carried out by the relevant government authorities.
- Work closely with EHS Department to ensure strict compliance of safety regulations.
- Coordinate M&E shop drawings, BIM models, and site interfaces with Architectural, Structural, and Civil teams
- Supervise M&E subcontractors to ensure works are executed safely, on time, and to required quality standards
- Manage authority submissions, inspections, and approvals (BCA, SCDF, PUB, SP Group, NEA) leading to TOP / CSC.
- Oversee testing & commissioning, system integration, defects rectification, and handover documentation.
- Monitor progress, costs, variations, and claims related to M&E works.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, Singapore Codes, and WSH requirements.
- Identify and resolve site coordination, technical, and construction issues promptly.
